Tap the crimson fx button in the bottom-right corner of any screen. The calculator drawer slides up. Use the segmented control at the top to switch between Calc (full scientific keypad with history and memory) and Tools (circle math, square-up, and unit conversion).
Each calculator screen has a Save button below the result. Tap it and the entry is stored locally on your iPhone with a timestamp. (A dedicated Project Log viewer screen is on the roadmap for 1.1.)
Open the fx drawer, look at the top-right of the keypad area, and tap the DEG / RAD toggle. The current mode is highlighted in crimson. Trig functions (sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan) and arc length use whichever mode is active.
Standard CRSI Manual values for #3 through #11, in pounds per linear foot: #3 = 0.376, #4 = 0.668, #5 = 1.043, #6 = 1.502, #7 = 2.044, #8 = 2.670, #9 = 3.400, #10 = 4.303, #11 = 5.313. Stick lengths default to 20 feet but can be set to 40 feet via the segmented control on the Rebar screen.
Open the fx drawer, switch to Tools, and choose the Square-Up tab. Pick Diagonal mode, enter your length and width, then enter the diagonal you measured with a tape. The app compares your measurement to the calculated diagonal. If the difference is within 1/16 inch, it shows SQUARE ✓; otherwise it shows the actual variance so you know how much to nudge.
Yes. Open the fx drawer, switch to Tools, choose the Convert tab, and pick the Length category. Enter your value, set the "from" unit to mm, and you'll see the converted value in inches, feet, yards, meters, and centimeters at the same time. Length, area, volume, and weight are all supported.
Yes. PWE Field Calc does not need camera, microphone, location, contacts, or any other system permission to work. Every calculation runs locally on your phone. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Please email vincemcmasters@gmail.com with the calculator name, the inputs you used, the result the app showed, and the result you expected (with the source/reference). Math accuracy is the whole point of this app and we'll fix any error in the next release.
Email vincemcmasters@gmail.com with "Feature request" in the subject. We read every one. The roadmap currently includes a Project Log viewer, customizable defaults (concrete cost per CY, truck capacity), and a metric/imperial toggle.
